Growing up my favorite beverage was a glass of chocolate milk. It was a real treat as it was not something my stomach could digest but my taste buds loved it! Now, more mindful, I have taken a childhood favorite and created a digestible and equally delicious version of it.
Kanan’s chocolate milK (for two)
3 small ice cubes
1 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (Califia Farms) my favorite. Or a milk of your choice.
1 1/2 teaspoon unsweetened cacao powder
3 dashes of cinnamon
3 dashes of cardamom
1/2 teaspoon of triphala powder (for healthy digestion)
4 tablespoons of unsweetened coconut water or just water
Dash of pink himalayan salt
For sweetener: 2 dates, chopped up.
Process all in an upright blender, pour in your favorite cup and enjoy!
