
The mango lassi is a delicious probiotic beverage from ancient India. It's a popular yogurt drink enjoyed worldwide, filled with gut healthy minerals and vitamins A, C, and B6. Enjoy in the hotter months to cool off.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup Mango - fresh, peeled, chopped
½ cup yogurt of choice
1/2 cup of coconut water
1/2 cup milk - I like coconut milk or buttermilk for this lassi
DIGESTIVE SPICES
1/8 teaspoon ginger powder or fresh
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cardamon
2-3 threads of saffron
OPTIONAL:
1/2-1 teaspoon sweetener such as local honey, coconut nectar or jaggery
1/2 -1 scoop of plain plant protein powder of choice
Finish with fresh mint
Handful of Ice cubes if you need a bit chilled
INSTRUCTIONS:
In a high-speed blender, add all ingredients, including the ice cubes for a frothier texture, and sweetener for a boost of sweetness.
Serve freshly made.
