Mango Lassie: Fruity Good Beverage

The mango lassi is a delicious probiotic beverage from ancient India. It's a popular yogurt drink enjoyed worldwide, filled with gut healthy minerals and vitamins A, C, and B6. Enjoy in the hotter months to cool off.


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup Mango - fresh, peeled, chopped

  • ½ cup yogurt of choice

  • 1/2 cup of coconut water

  • 1/2 cup milk - I like coconut milk or buttermilk for this lassi

DIGESTIVE SPICES

  • 1/8 teaspoon ginger powder or fresh

  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamon

  • 2-3 threads of saffron

OPTIONAL:

  • 1/2-1 teaspoon sweetener such as local honey, coconut nectar or jaggery

  • 1/2 -1 scoop of plain plant protein powder of choice

  • Finish with fresh mint

  • Handful of Ice cubes if you need a bit chilled

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • In a high-speed blender, add all ingredients, including the ice cubes for a frothier texture, and sweetener for a boost of sweetness.

  • Serve freshly made.
