These cookies are delightful with chai or any hot beverage. They are mildly sweet and savory with just a hint of spice. A favorite cookie to make and the heart shape makes me happy making and eating it!
ORGANIC INGREDIENTS. Makes 12 cookies
2 cups blanched almond flour (available at your local grocery store or online).
1/4 cup coconut flour or gluten free flour
2 -3 tsp ground cardamon to taste
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp pink salt
1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/4 cup jaggery or rice malt syrup or maple
1/4 cup ghee or refined coconut oil
1 egg or Flax egg ( 1tbsp flaxseed meal + 3 tbsp water). Let sit for 15 mins to thicken.
1-2 inch heart shaped cookie cutter

Method
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, add the first five dry ingredients. Set aside.
In another deep bowl, add the remaining wet ingredients.
Stir the dry into the wet mixture with a spatula until all blended.
Roll out the dough and using the heart shape cookie cutter, press into shape.
Place on the cookie sheet, couple inches apart and bake for 12-15 mins.
Cool completely before consuming.
Tip: If any nut allergy, omit the nut flour and use flour of choice and measure accordingly
