Who Am I?

In the image above of my most recent workshop, I lead the group through visualization on clarifying ones true intention, confronting adversities standing in our way, and seeing our true self realized on the path forward. Image location: Loopwell

Hello Loves,

As Spring season begins, the time to cheer and cherish the sun's vibrant energy is near. Nature has a built in system that reveals what is emerging from the ground up, with hope of new growth transcending the conditions around it and continuing to steadfastly flourish.

I thought it would be a good time to share a bit about me with you all and so I curated a list of questions that I am going to be asking others in an upcoming workshop, but will share my responses here.

1. Who are you?

I am a subtle extension of you as an artist, creative, scientist, editor, teacher...

2. What inspires you?

Kindness.

3. Where is your favorite place in the world?

My birthplace - India.

4. How do you know that you are on the right life path?

By trying what scares me and doing it anyways - other than sky diving, ice baths, and shark dives. Doing what I love, and maintaining non-attachment is a good indicator for me. Knowing how it makes me feel, exploring if my talents are useful in serving others well-being, asking myself if I am learning, and can I sustain myself.

5. When are you most at home in your body, mind, spirit?

When I am teaching and surrounded with genuinely good people in any space.

6.. Why do you do what you do?

I love what I do so that's why I do it. And...what I do in life always has me learning, growing, and evolving. Being a mother is learning to nurture another, being a therapist and life coach is learning to listen well to the spoken and unspoken to better help another, being a yoga teacher is organizing your body and mind towards spiritual well-being.

7. A place you wish to travel that you've never been?

A retreat in with my college friends, somewhere in Europe.

8. A meal that makes your mouth water and would not want to live without?

My mother's raas, roti, and long sliced bindi (mango, thin bread, and okra)

9. Your favorite quote:

"You deserve the best. Never feel unworthy or not justified in having the best. I will tell you this is your heritage; but you have to accept it. You have to expect it; you have to claim it. To do so is not demanding too much." - Swami Brahmananda Sarawati.

10. Finish the sentence, well-being means to me...

Living a vital life aligned with my values.
