This simple morning glow elixir is full of vitamin C, antioxidants, balances blood sugar, jump-starts digestion and keeps the body well hydrated through all seasons.
Ingredients organic and seasonal
Makes 1-2 servings (Recipe is non-inflammatory)
1 orange or grapefruit
1/4 cup of filtered water
Digestive spices: pinch or two: cumin and cardamon powder, optional black salt (kala namak), yum!
Cut the citrus fruits in halves and use a juicer or squeeze by hand to extract the juice.
Add digestive spices to the bottom of an 8 or 16 ounce glass, add the filtered water.
Pour the juice, give it a stir, and drink up!
